Itinerary

Day 1 Kathmandu to Thulo Syabru (2250m)

Your adventure begins in the bustling capital of Kathmandu, a vibrant city teeming with ancient temples and colorful markets. After a final gear check and briefing with your trekking crew, embark on a scenic drive westward. As you leave the Kathmandu Valley behind, witness the dramatic change in landscapes. Rolling hills transform into the majestic foothills of the Langtang Himal, their snow-capped peaks glistening in the distance. Reach Thulo Syabru, a charming village nestled amidst terraced fields, where you'll spend the night in a cozy teahouse and get a taste of the warm hospitality of the Tamang people.  

Day 2 Thulo Syabru to Singgompa (3330m)

Today's gentle ascent leads you through verdant forests and traditional villages. Breathe in the crisp mountain air and soak in the stunning views of the Langtang Lirung (7,227m), the highest peak in the region. Pass by charming villages like Dhunche and Briddim, where you can observe the unique customs and way of life of the Sherpa people. The trail winds its way up to Singgompa, a picturesque village perched on a hillside, offering panoramic vistas of the Himalayas. Spend the night in a comfortable teahouse, enjoying the tranquility of the village and the breathtaking mountain scenery.  

Day 3 Singgompa to Gosainkunda (4380m)

Prepare for a challenging but rewarding hike on this day. The trail navigates steeper terrain with switchbacks, gradually revealing the dramatic landscape. Lush forests give way to meadows adorned with colorful wildflowers, creating a vibrant tapestry. As you gain altitude, the air thins, but the panoramic views become even more spectacular. Finally, reach the sacred Gosainkunda Lake, a cluster of high-altitude oligotrophic lakes revered by Hindus and Buddhists. Day 4 Gosainkunda to Mukharke (2900m)

Today's trek offers a scenic descent through diverse landscapes. The trail winds its way down through verdant valleys and alpine meadows, dotted with grazing yaks and prayer flags fluttering in the wind. Enjoy the changing perspectives of the Langtang Himal as you descend. Reach Mukharke, a charming village nestled amidst the Langtang National Park. Explore the village and its traditional houses, and soak in the panoramic views of the Himalayas before spending the night in a comfortable teahouse.

Day 5 Mukharke to Thulo Syabru (2250m)

Retrace your steps back to Thulo Syabru, enjoying the familiar landscapes from a different perspective. Observe the changing vegetation and the bustling activity in the villages along the way. Upon reaching Thulo Syabru, celebrate the successful completion of the first half of the trek and savor a farewell dinner in a local teahouse.

Day 6 Thulo Syabru to Ramche (2250m)

Today, venture off the beaten path and delve deeper into the Langtang region. The trail leads you through less-explored areas, offering a glimpse into the authentic way of life in remote villages. Witness traditional farming practices and interact with the welcoming locals. Reach Remuche, a small village nestled amidst a dramatic landscape, where you'll spend the night in a basic teahouse and experience the unique culture of this hidden gem.  

Day 7 Ramche to Thangsap (3870m)

Brace yourself for a challenging ascent as you navigate through dramatic landscapes. The trail winds its way up through meadows and rocky terrain, offering breathtaking views of the surrounding peaks. As you gain altitude, the air gets thinner, but the sense of achievement grows with each step. Finally, reach Thangsap, a village known for its unique stone houses with flat roofs. Explore the village and soak in the panoramic vistas of the Langtang Himal, including the majestic Yala La peak (6,977m). Spend the night in a cozy teahouse, relishing the tranquility of this high-altitude settlement.  

Day 8 Thangsap to Kyanjin Gompa (3870m)

Today's trek takes you on a relatively flat path along a ridge, offering stunning views of the surrounding valleys. The trail meanders past grazing yaks and yak herder camps, providing a glimpse into the nomadic lifestyle of the region. Reach Kyanchen Gompa, a historic Buddhist monastery perched on a dramatic cliffside. Explore the monastery and its peaceful courtyards, adorned with colorful prayer flags. Witness the serene atmosphere and learn about the rich cultural heritage of the region. Spend the night in a simple lodge near the monastery, enjoying the breathtaking mountain scenery.  

Day 9 Kyanjin Gompa Sightseeing

Choose to embark on a challenging hike to Kyanchen Ri (4,984m) or Cherkuri Ri (5,350m) for breathtaking panoramic views of the Langtang Himal, Manaslu, and Ganesh Himal ranges. Day 10 Kyanjin Gompa to Thangsap (3870m)

Day 11 Thangsap to Ramche (2250m)

Today's descent offers a welcome change in altitude. The trail winds its way down through dramatic valleys and alpine meadows, showcasing the diverse landscapes of the Langtang region. Breathe in the fresh mountain air and enjoy the changing scenery as you descend. Reach Ramche, a charming village nestled amidst a picturesque valley. Spend the night in a comfortable teahouse, reminiscing about the experiences of the past few days.  

Day 12 Ramche to Syabru Besi (1919m)

The final leg of the trek takes you through a diverse landscape. The trail descends through lush forests and charming villages, offering a glimpse into the everyday lives of the local people. As you reach lower altitudes, the vegetation becomes denser, and the air feels warmer. Finally, arrive at Syabru Besi, a bustling town at the foothills of the Himalayas. Day 13 Syabru Besi to Kathmandu
